Oh, by the way, you must be hearing a lot about the Ram Setu (aka Adam’s Bridge) issue these days. Here I will not go in describing my opinion on the debate, but just show a couple of images to tell you what it is all about:

The left one is an ariel view of the existing Adam’s bridge which is around 48 kms intermittently connecting India’s last tip to SriLanka’s top. And the image on the right, shows the Sethusamudram Ship Canal Project indicating the proposed plan for the canal.
